Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Reachbeam ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is licensed, not sold, to you.
2. Authorized use only
Reachbeam is a tool for connecting to and controlling computers that you own or are explicitly authorized to access and administer. You agree that you will not use the app to access any system without authorization. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect to, view, and control any device you target. Unauthorized access to computer systems is illegal in most jurisdictions and is strictly prohibited by these Terms.
The app is a client that you operate to reach your own machines. It is not designed for, and you may not use it for, covertly monitoring or controlling devices belonging to other people, nor for any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purpose.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from. The free tier and the optional Reachbeam Pro subscription are governed by the same Terms.
4. Purchases
Reachbeam Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed by Apple or Google as merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Purchases, restoration, refunds, and taxes are handled under the applicable app store's terms. Entitlement is stored on your device / your store account; we do not operate purchase servers.
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with any particular server, protocol version, or device. Remote-access reliability depends on your network, your servers, and third-party software outside our control.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the app — including any loss or compromise resulting from a connection you initiate, a server you connect to, or credentials you store. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including, where applicable, statutory consumer rights).
7. Security and credentials
You are responsible for the security of the credentials and SSH keys you enter, the passphrase you choose for encrypted exports, and the security configuration of the servers you connect to. The app stores credentials in your device's secure keystore but cannot protect against compromise of your device, your servers, or your network.
8. Third-party protocols and trademarks
Reachbeam is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by RealVNC Ltd., Microsoft Corporation, Apple Inc., or any other protocol or platform owner. "VNC" is a trademark of RealVNC Ltd.; "RDP", "Windows", and "Remote Desktop" are associated with Microsoft Corporation; "Apple", "macOS", "Screen Sharing", "Face ID", and "Touch ID" are trademarks of Apple Inc. These names are used only descriptively to indicate compatibility.
9. Termination
We may update or discontinue the app. You may stop using it at any time by uninstalling it. These Terms survive termination to the extent needed to enforce them.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change and the current version will be posted at this URL. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
