Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Sense Pad is a gesture launcher for Android, published by Divided Bits ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles information.
2. Data we collect
None. We do not operate any server or backend that receives your data. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, identifiers, advertising IDs, usage analytics, crash reports, or the contents of any gesture session.
3. Information stored on your device only
To function, the app stores the following locally on your device — never transmitted to us:
- Gesture configurations (gesture types, assigned actions, pad layout preferences) — stored in the app's local SharedPreferences.
- NFC tag mappings (tag IDs and their associated actions) — stored locally on your device.
- App settings (trigger mode, sensitivity, theme, appearance).
This information may be included in your device's normal encrypted backups (Google backup) under your account — we have no access to those backups.
4. Accessibility service
Sense Pad uses Android's Accessibility Service to perform system actions (go home, go back, recents, screenshots, notifications) on your behalf. This service operates entirely on-device. We do not read, log, or transmit any content from your screen or the apps you use.
5. Permissions
The app requests permissions only to enable features you choose to use:
- Draw over other apps — required to display the gesture pad on top of other apps.
- Accessibility — required for system-level actions (home, back, screenshot, etc.).
- Device admin — optional; required only for the Lock Device action.
- NFC — optional; required only if you use NFC Tag Actions (Pro feature).
- Microphone — optional; required only if you use Voice Commands.
- Run at startup — optional; allows the pad to start automatically after reboot.
No permission is used to collect or transmit your data.
6. Advertising
The free version of Sense Pad displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use a resettable advertising ID to serve contextual ads. You can reset or opt out of this ID in Android Settings → Privacy. Upgrading to Sense Pad Pro removes all ads permanently.
7. Purchases
The optional Sense Pad Pro in-app purchase is processed by Google (Google Play) as the merchant of record, under their privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment details.
8. No other third-party SDKs
Beyond AdMob (free tier only), the app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
9. Children
The app is a utility not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
10. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this URL.
